日前，已有多名考生的新gre成绩被取消，有消息称ETS准备取消自去年九月开始所有在海外考试的中国学生的托福 gre成绩，此消息虽然没有得到ETS的证实，不过，ETS已经向所有送分学校发出通知，申明成绩无效。据悉，有录取学校正在考虑撤销已经发送的录取通知。
此次大规模gre成绩取消事件 还没有得到ETS的官方通知。不过，如果考生成绩不能尽快恢复，恐怕会对这些考生2012年的留学进程造成毁灭性的影响。

其实，在2010年10月23日，gre考试就因为“错误使用先前旧试题”而取消中国大陆地区考生的语文和数学两科成绩，虽然之后又为考生安排了免费补考，不过，这次成绩作废事件仍然影响了众多考生申请2011年秋季入学的计划。
