Jessica W Finally, pop culture demonstrates society's new acceptance toward Americans in the film, Remember the Titans. In this popular movie, a racial segregated community in Louisiana must learn to forget their traditional discrimination and accept a more open and diverse lifestyle, thanks to the arrival of an inspiring African American football coach.Because the Caucasian and African American athletes had a history of picking fights on each other, the new football coach, Herman Boone, believes he can change these corrupted teenage minds. With a summer long disciplinary camp, Coach Boone accomplishes his mission for the team; yet the worst is still to come. The second after the now colorblind team sets foot hand in hand, the remainder of the town is in outraged pandemonium. Eventually, Coach Boone and his team champion for their new mind set and transform the town into the least segregated town in the United States. Obviously, with a little determination and a new clean mind set, society can progress from violence to peace.
