Topic：Why Angkor Declined.
Reading material: The city Angkor was invaded because of its economic prosperity. And invasion is a factor for its decline. Second, Buddhism replaced “God-kings”. Because of the religious reason, people eventually abandoned the city. Third, there was a serious drought before 1500. This contributes to the decline of the city.
Listening material counter refutes the statement: First, the first thing after invasion is not to drive everybody out, but keep its population and prosperity.
