Mr. Li had been our homeroom teacher for four years. He had a bald head, a gentle smile, and a box of white chalk that he guarded like treasure. We knew he was retiring after this semester. On his last day, we planned a surprise. 中小学语文阅读作文辅导 ,(线上、线下) TEL:184-5229-8565 易优作文专业、可靠 www.euzw.net
The morning was ordinary. Mr. Li walked in, placed his chalk box on the desk, and started the math lesson as usual. But today, we listened differently. We noticed the gray in his eyebrows, the crack in his voice, the way he erased the board with slow, careful strokes. When the bell rang for the last period, our monitor stood up. “Mr. Li, please don’t leave yet.” We turned off the lights. Two students brought out a cake with a candle shaped like a chalk stick. We sang “Thank You” to the tune of a birthday song. Mr. Li’s eyes widened. He took off his glasses and wiped them. “You little rascals,” he whispered.
Then he picked up his last piece of chalk—a tiny stub, smaller than his thumb. He turned to the blackboard and wrote one word: “谢谢”. His hand trembled. The chalk snapped in half. A piece fell to the floor. He looked at us, tears streaming down his cheeks. “You are my best class,” he said. “Remember that math is everywhere, but kindness is the only formula that never fails.” The whole class cried. I cried too, not because I was sad, but because I realized how much one person can give without asking anything in return. Four years of early mornings, patient explanations, and scoldings that were really love. We took a photo with Mr. Li holding the broken chalk. I keep that photo on my desk. Whenever I struggle with a math problem, I look at it and hear his voice: “Try again. You can do it.” A teacher’s chalk may run out, but a teacher’s words never do.
易优作文名师点评: 细节感人(粉笔头、折断的粉笔、蛋糕蜡烛如粉笔),情感浓烈。通过最后一堂课的场景,表达了学生对老师的感恩。结尾“公式与善良”的比喻精妙。
