Li Wei and I were like oil and water. He was loud; I was quiet. He loved soccer; I loved reading. We sat next to each other, and we fought over the armrest, the pencil sharpener, and the window. The teacher moved us apart once, but we ended up fighting across the aisle. 易优作文网,https://www.euzw.net (线上、线下)
One day, I was reading “Charlotte’s Web” during silent reading time. I was at the part where Charlotte dies. Tears dripped onto the page. Li Wei peeked over. “Why are you crying?” he asked, not mockingly but curiously. “It’s just a book,” I sniffed. “It’s not ‘just a book’,” I said. “It’s about friendship and sacrifice.” He looked interested. “Can I borrow it?” I hesitated. This was my favorite book. What if he returned it with greasy fingerprints? But I handed it to him. “Be careful,” I said.
For three days, Li Wei was quiet. He didn’t ask to borrow my eraser. He didn’t kick my chair. On the fourth day, he returned the book. His eyes were red. “I finished it,” he said. “I cried at the end.” We looked at each other. For the first time, we weren’t enemies. “Who was your favorite character?” I asked. “Templeton the rat,” he said. “Because he was selfish but still helped.” I laughed. “Mine was Charlotte.” Then Li Wei said, “Do you think we could be friends? Not like Charlotte and Wilbur, but… friends?” I nodded. We started talking about books instead of fighting. I recommended “The Little Prince”. He recommended a comic about a soccer star. Our teacher was shocked to see us sharing snacks. That year, Li Wei and I became best friends. A book built a bridge between two boys who had nothing in common. Charlotte taught us that words can save lives, but in our case, they saved a friendship before it even started.
易优作文名师点评: 构思巧妙,用一本书化解矛盾,将《夏洛的网》的情节与现实友谊交织。人物对比鲜明(油与水),细节生动(哭红眼睛、推荐漫画),结尾呼应书名,余味悠长。
