I used to hate autumn. The trees became naked, and the wind felt like a cold hand. But last October, Grandpa took me for a walk in the mountain park. “Don’t look with your eyes,” he said. “Listen.” We stood under a giant maple tree. A breeze came, and the leaves began to fall. They didn’t just fall; they danced. Some twirled like ballerinas, some floated down like tired butterflies.
“Can you hear the music?” Grandpa asked. I closed my eyes. The rustling leaves sounded like soft violins. A dry leaf cracked under my foot—a sudden drumbeat. Then more leaves fell, creating a gentle symphony. When I opened my eyes, the ground was covered in a quilt of gold, red, and orange. Grandpa picked up a leaf. “See this hole?” he pointed. “An insect ate it last summer. Now the leaf returns to the earth to feed the tree again. Autumn is not an ending. It is a gift-wrapping for the next spring.”
We sat on a bench and watched the sunset paint the sky the same colors as the leaves. A squirrel ran across the path, carrying an acorn. Everything was busy preparing for winter. I realized that autumn is the season of courage—the courage to let go, to change, to trust that life continues under the ground. Now, when I see falling leaves, I hear a symphony. I know that beauty is not only in blooming but also in letting go. Autumn teaches me to find peace in change.
易优作文名师点评: 文笔优美,富有诗意,将听觉、视觉、触觉多感官结合描写秋天。通过与爷爷的对话进行哲理升华,把“凋零”解读为“勇气与馈赠”,立意深刻,远超普通写景作文。
