The number 7 bus was crowded and noisy. I found a seat near the back and sat down. Under the seat, I saw a crumpled envelope. I picked it up. It was not sealed. Inside was a handwritten letter, the ink slightly smudged. “Dear son,” it began. “I hope you are well. I made your favorite pickles. The pear tree in the yard bloomed yesterday. Please come home for the New Year. Love, Dad.” 苏州中考语文一对一辅导,易优作文吴老师专业、可靠(线上、线下) httPs://www.Euzw.net
There was no return address, only a name: Mr. Zhang, and a street name—Lotus Lane. I knew I had to return it. The next day, I rode my bike to Lotus Lane. It was a row of old houses. I knocked on doors one by one. Most people shook their heads. At the last house, an old man with white hair opened the door. His eyes were kind but sad. “Are you Mr. Zhang?” I asked, holding out the letter. His hands trembled as he took it. “I lost it yesterday,” he whispered. “I was going to mail it.”
Tears filled his eyes. “My son works far away. He hasn’t come back for three years. I write to him every month.” I sat on his porch steps and asked, “Why don’t you call him?” He smiled weakly. “A letter is different. He can hold it. He can smell the paper.” I helped him put the letter in a new envelope, walked to the post office, and bought a stamp. “I will pay,” I said. He refused, but I insisted. Watching the red mailbox swallow the letter, I felt a strange happiness. A week later, I passed by Mr. Zhang’s house. He was sitting under the pear tree, reading a letter. When he saw me, he waved and shouted, “He is coming home for the New Year!” I waved back, my heart full. That lost letter taught me that small acts of kindness can bridge the biggest distances.
易优作文名师点评: 叙事完整,悬念设置(无地址的信)吸引读者。人物形象鲜明(张大爷的颤抖、梨树开花)。情节温暖,结尾呼应开头,凸显“善意连接陌生人”的主题,感人至深。
